Not too many things here in the U.S. are original. Straight from Kemet.
Stolen from Africa like SO many other things in the european/western world.

SPREAD THE WORD NBUF 2 deliver petitions for arrest of zimmerman @TrayvonMartin Rally US Dept of Justice 4pm 1425 New York Ave NW DC ping.fm/evrCl (Taken with instagram)
I am Trayvon Martin…
My skin is the miscommunication
Between white supremacy and American gratification.
The misunderstanding
Between loitering and casually standing.
The epitome of misunderstood
Whenever my permanent address is anywhere but the hood.
And now, as I understand
My clothing and demeanor makes me a danger to this land.
Here are my skittles!
Taste my rainbow…
See how it’s bitter and bland
Like the scenery from my window.
Lets evaluate the implications
Of this situation
And what it means for my people
In this nation.
Don’t be seen at night
Without a non-Black in sight,
Don’t enjoy the scenery
Or acknowledge the creep staring at you
With the bright cell phone light.
Don’t quickly run the opposite way
When you’re being watched by a stranger,
And never…ever
Cry for help when you’re in danger.
This…
This is for you!
For the one in the crowd
Who thought racism was through.
This…
This is for him!
The one who justifies racism’s non-existance
With the existence of his three Black friends.
Better yet, this…
This is for her!
The one in her room right now
Cause Zimmerman had to protect himself from this hoodlum.
And this is for EVERY Black person,
Knowing the fear of being the only color in the crowd…
Knowing the fear of success labeled anomaly…
Knowing the fear of unjustified accusation and brutality.
Trying to keep our sanity
As society denies our humanity,
Striving for their American Dream
When we’re not rungs on the ladder
But just the space in between.
An injustice anywhere
Is a threat to justice everywhere,
Unless you are Black
And all can see the waistband of your underwear.
I too, sing America
But you don’t hear my voice,
236 years has you believing
You have that choice.
But America has lied to you before,
Believe they are lying to you now.
And with my skittles and my tongue,
I plan to show you how!
R.I.P to Trayvon Martin
Many blessings to his family.
